Celebrate Summer! Summer is a time of celebration, relaxation, and long days. Get out and enjoy it! This summer appears to be a good one for railroad excursions and special events. RR Trax Studios will be represented at a couple of book signing events this season, the first of which will be August 1st in Meadville, Pennsylvania, at the French Creek Valley Railroad Historical Society's display park off Route 322/19 in Meadville. RR Trax Studios author Thomas K. Kraemer will be present to sign his book on the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad. Ken Kraemer will also be available to sign his RR Trax Studios book titles. Book Project News Due to circumstances beyond our control (well, basically a major computer issue, that is...), production of the RR Trax Studios book title Western Maryland Scenic Railroad - 3rd Edition has been considerably delayed. Though the first printing of this 2nd Edition remains sold-out, an "emergency" limited-run second printing of the 2nd Edition has been placed. We regret the delay to this title, especially since we have some excellent guest photo contributors and all-new maps by TRAINS Magazine contributor Bill Metzger that will make the 3rd Edition the best ever. Be patient, friends, Western Maryland Scenic Railroad - 3rd Edition is now scheduled to be available May 1, 2011. The good news? Ken Kraemer's latest book Focused on Steam - Fifty Years of Steam Locomotive Photography remains on-schedule as planned. The layout and image processing is finally complete after almost two years of careful work. This will be the most colorful and expressive RR Trax Studios title yet, with photographs of steam locomotives across the USA and Canada during the past half-century. It is truly a celebration of history in an artistic form. Stay tuned to this site for updates, and look for the book to be available in a few short months.
